Chapter 10

The last week of my life had been indescribable, Gene and I were getting along swimmingly after I finally let go of him not knowing my name. We had spent practically every moment together fight free. Sadly I had to come back to my grandparents house in Lansing for a visit. So here I am sitting in the same flower-infested bedroom I was dumped in nine years ago.  I was attempting to study for my hellish mid-term when I was interrupted mid-thought by the annoying high pitched ring of the telephone, I heard the screech of the chairs as my Grandmother made her way over cautiously and began her usual greeting.

"Hello, Lily residence Cath speaking..... Davie?...........huh?......oh no what did you do.......................... no she is in her bedroom ..... your dads out .....................DAVID! What on earth.......You can't"

I recognized the name and the worried panic in her voice something is wrong with my father, I rushed to the kitchen in time to her the last bit of conversation

"I can't help you David, you got yourself in this. It's time for you to get yourself out I'm sorry"

My Grandmother turned to face me and her face was ghost white.

After a brief explanation, I found myself Rapidly pounding on Genes door. It had been a long drive to his house. I must admit feeling a little badass for not killing anyone as I was driving here in this massive downpour and the other massive downpour of my tears that blurred my vision for the most part. Finally Gene opened the door and without a sound other than the rain and my short breaths filling my ears I collapsed into his arms.

"Ardor, what's wrong?" He furrowed his beautiful brows.

Through broken articulation that made no sense I choked out, "My.... Fa.....ther....Jail."

"Woah, calm down and breathe a bit. Uh, why's he there?"

I listened, and began to take deep breaths this was it I have to tell him about how screwed up my life truly is.

"Well, okay you need," I choked on another sob, taking a deep breath I continued, "the backstory, My Dad left my mom before I was born, he has always refused to see me I've never met him. When I was nine my mother died after a year long struggle with Cancer. My father, still refusing to meet me dumped me with his parents since my mother’s parents had also abandoned her before I was born." I paused momentarily before continuing on meanwhile Gene just stared at me with this half-assed look of confusion spreading on his face.

"For the years the only sign of my father’s existence was the fat checks he'd send me in the mail, most of which went to charities without his knowledge. Well I never really questioned how my father had all this money until today. As it turns out he is the leader of a well known Mob and his name was connected to a mass murder attack on a rival clan and now he and about three of his ‘partners’ are behind bars."

Gene had gone pale, but he still managed to say

"Uh. Wow......That's a lot to take in...... So like, you're the mob boss's daughter?"

Baffled by his response I muttered out the only amount of truth I could stand for that moment

"Technically, Biologically...yes. Emotionally no..."

His face intensified for a moment. "Wicked," he said with a smirk, before his face lightened again.

" I'd invite you inside...but my uncle has a few....guests over. So why don't we take a walk, and you can talk it out, kay?"

All I could manage was a nod as He and I set off, shortly we arrived at the park, where we took shelter from the rain in a gazebo. We huddled together, then park was secluded and we were hidden by the planks of the structure. At that moment I wished we were the only two left on the planet I inhaled him deeply, he was the first to break the overbearing silence.

"Are you...smelling me?" He cocked his eyebrow at me then fidgeted uncomfortably while his face portrayed a panicked expression. "Sorry if I smell bad, I was playing some intense Wii Wrestling before you came."

I didn't bother telling him that he always faintly smelled of sweat, which sick as it may seem I kind of liked....

"No, not really." I mock sniffed him. "You smell fine." I leaned into his face giving him a slow kiss moving my mouth slightly parting his lips his mouth vibrated against mine as he suppressed a giggle and broke the kiss.

"Was this some mating ritual? Sniff 'n' smooch? I like." He suggestively moved his eyebrows up and down creasing his forehead.

I leaned back in and whispered against his lips

"We could make it one." Without thinking I straddled his outstretched legs pressing my torso to his kissing him passionately first on his lips then slowly sliding down to his neck, he leaned his head back.  He snapped back to attention.

"OH. That's...nice." he fumbled and a slow blush formed across his cheek bones and the bridge of his nose, it only fueled my desire.

While still kissing his neck I took his shirt off only breaking to allow the pass over, then I was right back to kissing his neck as I clumsily worked to get his belt off. I needed him, now. He was breathing heavily, as was I, he let out a low moan at first that built. Briefly after his shoulders slumped

"Uh.."

I stopped startled by him."What Gene? What uh?" I asked bewildered.

"I don't think it's gonna work..." he muttered.

I furrowed my eyebrows, this can't be fucking happening.

"What isn't going to work?" I gave him my best sexy pouting face.

Quietly, as if we were surrounded by people he whispered, "It,” gesturing to his masculinity.

"What, Gene, you can't get it up?"

He looked at me, his blush deepening.

"That's not the issue here. It's keeping it up that's the problem. "

It was then that I noticed it, the darkening stain near his crotch. Slowly I climbed off his lap. Pointing at the stain, I suppressed a giggle, "Gene, I think you need new pants."
